Copenhagen 12 cm Pot & Saucer Grey
$24.00
Also called the Castle Pot since it is inspired by a pot made at the royal castle of Fredensborg in Denmark in 1860. Over time production moved to smaller potters in Copenhagen, where it was made until plastic pots began to grow in popularity in the 1960’s. Steffen Berg found his inspiration in a beautiful pot he saw years ago in a former nursery. Today, the potters make the pot in a small village near Luca in Tuscany.
These terracotta pots are designed in Denmark & handmade in Italy by Bergs Potter. These containers are indoor & outdoor, as the clay is fired at a very high temperature, giving the pots strength & a silicone treatment makes the saucers completely waterproof. The high density of the clay makes the pots frost resistant. A saucer is included with each pot. Drainage hole & saucer included.
