Modern Hardware was established in 1924 under the name Oakdale Fuel & Materials They’ve remaine family-run and at the same, original Kalamazoo Avenue location since the early 1970’s. Their offerings have evolved with the changing times, and while they now sell decorative hardware rather vs. coal, we carry with pride both our rich history and our contemporary service. Family owned and operated by Rick and Elaine Dreyer + Robert and Vicki Vander Lugt, Modern Hardware is a full-line hardware store, with thousands of item in stock, and a special passion & expertise for modern, decorative hardware.
