Bumble Bee Mix Cherry Tomato
A bee-utiful mix of eye catching striped cherry tomatoes. When new open pollinated varieties are released they can sometimes get lost in the maze of hybrids touted to growers. If these new OP varieties didn’t catch on they may disappear. Over the past decade, plant breeder Fred Hempel has been using classical breeding practices to create colorful & delicious new varieties he calls Artisan Tomatoes. The Bumble Bee line is adorable AND tasty. Contains Purple Bumble Bee, Sunrise Bumble Bee, and Pink Bumble Bee Cherry Tomatoes. Grow a few plants this year & you’ll find yourself buzzing like a bee to each. Certified organic. Non-GMO, open pollinated seeds. Seed count: 20. Artwork by: Ali Kurzeja
Growing: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost, then transplant outdoors to indicate spacing after all threat of frost has passed. All tomatoes benefit from staking; intermediate varieties require it. Prune tomatoes when they reach about 24in high and are starting to produce small suckers. Keep plants from coming into contact with the soil, and water at the roots to prevent spread of soil borne disease.
