Round Trivet Medium
$20.00
Simple yet elegant in their modern-minimalist Japanese asthetic, these traditional Japanese trivets are made from rush, aka paper wicker — a man-made fiber of chemically treated twisted kraft paper. These trivets are designed to protect your table while simultaneously presenting dishes with understated elegance. With a satisfying organic texture and lightweight, they are as pleasant as they are utile. Naturally heat-resistant, pair pots, pans, or cooking vessels that sit suspended within these natural fiber rings. Each has a small loop of rush attached for hanging. Trivets should not be washed. Simple rush construction makes for an entirely natural and biodegradable product. Hand-crafted from eco-friendly biodegradable paper-based rush by skilled artisans in Niigata, Japan
