Floral Society | Brooklyn, NY | Est. 2018

Established in 2018, The Floral Society designs and develops tools and objects to awaken the inner creative, encourage the budding florist, and inspire communities to gather. We’ve channeled years of experience creating floral landscapes and sumptuous tabletops into the deliberate design of essential tools for such pursuits. Our taper candles borrow their hues from blooms and the shifting tones of the season. Our floral clippers are equally at home by the kitchen sink or in the studio, having been field-tested for extraordinary durability against stem or branch. Everything we create is purpose driven, intended as immediate heirlooms and modern artifacts to tie our everyday lives to the forest, the field, and the garden.

Fog Linen Work | Tokyo, Japan | Est. 1993

Fog Linen Work combines pure, natural linen with the ease & elegance of Japanese design. The Tokyo-based firm was born of founder Yumiko Sekine’s search for the linen goods of her childhood —  a quest ultimately leading to Lithuania, which has been growing flax and producing linen since the Middle Ages. Fog is well known for its range of linen housewares + clothing, i.e. napkins, aprons, and tablecloths, as well as its developing collection of wood, brass, and metalwares. Fog’s beautiful, unfussy products are designed for everyday use. On a self-proclaimed quest to revive the art of simplicity and crafting, Sekine’s straightforward designs make for objects as beautiful as they are practical.
